Figure Drawing for Comics
with Hannah March Sanders
Figure Drawing for Comics Course Description
Join Hannah March Sanders as she guides us through figure drawing for comics covering all of the following topics: gesture, essence line, movement, expression, facial proportions, planes, eyes, moods, thoughts, feelings, design, models, bone structure, hands, composition, and crowds (OH, MY)!
This course’s goals will include confidence building as well as exploration of creative expression in drawing bodies in comics, with a foundation in gestural anatomy.
“Working in comics myself–and through my nearly 20 years teaching drawing–I have seen that folx have a lot of hang ups about drawing the human figure. We want it to look “just right.” But what about how cool it is when things look “wrong” in just the right way?”
— Hannah March Sanders
