A Day in the Life of SAW

Been using SAW as a studio, teaching space, comics resource library. Each day is filled with visitors, conversation as well as great work time. Some recent scenes: Sculptor Erin Curry comes in with a home made kite, the size and shape of a mardi-gras mask. I showed Erin some Lumakick by Richard Hahn and also a series of books by Warren Craghead. I love showing new work to people….

Caroline Paquita Party/Art Show ! Saturday Feb 4, 7pm – 10pm Stop by SAW at 18 SE 5th Ave at Main St, on Saturday evening, February the 4th, for an informal hangout session with former Gainesville resident, Caroline Paquita, of WOMANIMALISTIC and Pegacorn Press. Using stencil duplicators in her home, Paquita has put out over 5,000 copies of comics, zines, and her yearly calendar, with many more publications in the works….
