Step into a realm of boundless creativity with MJ Robinson, an author-illustrator, educator, and community organizer who champions the power of art for social justice. MJ, who identifies as genderqueer and uses they/them pronouns, is a passionate advocate for prison abolition, LGBTQIA2S+ rights, and racial and environmental justice in Providence, Rhode Island. In this workshop, "X Marks the Spot," MJ encourages participants to embark on a journey of creative play and art-making, all while instilling the values of social change and equality.

As MJ Robinson guides this creative endeavor, they foster a warm and student-centered teaching style, free from oppression, where each participant's unique voice is celebrated. With a certificate in Children's Book Illustration from RISD and a BA in Studio Art and Creative Writing from Oberlin College, MJ brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the workshop.
