SAW @ Cartoon Crossroads 2024!

This weekend I attended Cartoon Crossroads (CXC) in Columbus, Ohio! This was my first time going to CXC and I really enjoyed that it look place in the Downtown Metropolitan library. That may have been the nicest library I’ve ever been to. Not only was I surrounded by comics, there was a bunch of books to choose from if I needed a little break from slinging SAW’s awesome message.

Below are some photos from the convention:

Above, from left to right, are: Kayte Young & Me, Mel Gilman (my professor at CCA!), and me posing for Dr. Fernanda Díaz-Basteris.

For me, the best part of CXC was making connections. I met tons of folks interested in attending our Friday Night Comics, folks that love to teach, and folks that want to do pop-up SAW workshops both in Gainesville and in Tampa.

Non-CXC related but still super fun: I got a great cup of pourover from Updog Coffee near Downtown Columbus. The buildings there were nice and old, giving me that perfect backdrop for rainy weather, a cup of coffee, and my audiobook about Korea’s civil war.

All in all, 10/10!
