4 WEEKS OF COMics!

This four-week intensive is designed to strip away perfectionism and build confidence in your storytelling skills—no ink, no digital, just you, a pencil, and a sketchpad. Through artist studies, cinematic composition, genre experimentation, and rapid-fire comic creation, you’ll sharpen your instincts and make faster, bolder creative choices.

Your approach to comics will be sharper, faster, and more intuitive. Get ready to make more comics.

Artists of all levels welcome!

  • Pay What You Can between $125-$300. Choose the amount that work best for you. Price is set to $125 when booking.

When, Where, & Who?

—-> When: Thursday evenings throughout May. Starts May 8, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Runs until May 29, 2025.


—-> Where: In-person at 1314 S Main St, Gainesville, FL.


—-> Who: Artists of all levels interested in comics! Limited to 15 participants per session.


What You’ll Learn and What You’ll Need

✔ Break out of your comfort zone by studying and mimicking master artists
✔ Use framing, angles, and composition to enhance storytelling
✔ Explore how the same script transforms across different genres
✔ Push past hesitation with high-speed, on-the-spot comic creation

Rules - Class will only use Pencil and Paper. No digital, No Ink! This is to be bare bone so students don’t get hung up on perfectionism. 

Supplies - Any pencil student feels comfortable with (preferably HB or higher), 11x14 sketch pad, ruler or anything to get a straight line for drawing panels. 

Class Overall Goal - This boot camp is to help improve students make faster, more confident decisions with their sense of storytelling in comics.
