“Most kinds of narration come from prose writing. There is 3rd-person objective, 3rd-person subjective, 1st-person subjective, etc.

But there are a few that are fabulously visual, such as visual stream of conscious and 2nd-person visual.

We ask you to write, and sometimes draw, in all of these narrative voices in our courses.

This is what gives you a feel for what kind of voice(s) feel right for your subject and project.

It's wild fun, too!

These are the voices you can explore:

3rd person

Subjective 3rd person

Subjective 1st person

Diary / blog / letter etc

Stream of consciousness

Visual stream of consciousness

Dramatic monologue

2nd person narration

2nd person visual narration”

Which type of narrations have you tried?
