Making comics can be a lonely thing to do, but it doesn’t have to be! We have the Mighty Network to bring our community of comics makers together, and we have our weekly Mighty Network roundup to make sure you don’t miss a thing!

One of my favorite things to do in class is make abstract comics with emotional content. Today’s group made these great books below.

Okay, so we’ve been a little lax when it comes to our Mighty Network roundup (stay tuned for news of our newest year-long intensive students), but never fear, we’re back and here’s the latest wrap up, with all the best content you might have missed over the last couple of weeks.

Leela Corman will teach illustration fundamentals, focusing on developing unique imagery and personal a visual language with which to communicate. Thursdays, 1-3 pm

Have you ever wanted to make a comic, but didn't know where to start? Are you an omnivorous artist that wants to try out new ideas? This workshop is for you! Jess Ruliffson will guide you through the process of idea-making, sketching layouts, and show a few inking techniques. By the end of the class, students will have inked their own one-page comic, and collaborated with attendees on an eight-panel mini-zine to take home!

This week on SAW's Mighty Network we’ve built new worlds, challenged ideas of self, reflected on everything we’ve in the last six months, all from hundreds of different locations all around the world.
